Blow Me Down, it's a Treasure Hunt!!!
Follow clues given by their Pirate Maiden Host and use the treasure map to discover the actual streets that pirates walked, as we hunt for their pirate booty.
ARRRGGGHHHH… Learn The History of Charlotte Amalie on this walking tour. Walk past historic sights with interactive learning using multi sensory games, riddles, stories, and acting as a pirate along the way, perfect for 5-12 year olds. "X" Marks the Spot… What will the treasure be?? No horns-waggling or ye will walk the plank! |
Tour Info:
Cost: $25/person, age 5 and older. Children 4 & under are free.
Meeting Location/Parking: Meet at the gazebo in Emancipation Garden in downtown Charlotte Amalie. Parking at Fort Christian Parking Lot is recommended. Entrance is across from the Police Station on Hospital Gade. It's $2 per hour to park. Age Recommendation: Perfect for boys and girls ages 5-12. Children 4 & under are welcome. Length of Tour: The tour is 90 minutes, depending upon the age of the guests and how quickly they can solve the puzzles. What to Wear: Wear comfortable clothing & walking shoes, along with any pirate gear you may have. Sunscreen is recommended. The tour covers 1.0 mile of hills and stairs. Strollers: We are hiking the hills, swabbing the poop deck and climbing some steps in search of pirate treasure, so it is not that conducive for strollers, but you are still welcome to attempt to bring them. Water: Please bring water as it is always humid and hot in the Caribbean. Even the famous Blackbeard stayed hydrated by drinking a lot of... um, you know! Bathroom Stop: While on the Treasure Hunt, there are limited restroom facilities, just like the old pirate ships. We will do our best to help accommodate any bathroom emergency. Rainy Days: It rains daily in St. Thomas, typically a 5-15 minute shower here and there. When in doubt, please pack an umbrella/rain jacket. The tour proceeds in rain or shine. Nothing stops a pirate from pillaging the town! Arr… Tour Route: The treasure map will take us on a 1.0 mile search for loot and involves hills and stairs. Not recommended for those who have limited mobility or those who don't like adventure and fun. ARRRR!!!! Historic Sights: We will visit 10 Historical Sights on the tour while we follow the treasure map in search of the missing loot in downtown Charlotte Amalie. |
